John R. Lester has served as a high school administrator in Charlotte, NC and has served as a beginning teacher coach and mentor contact at a Title I, high-needs school for over five years. He has served as a Beginning Teacher Support Coordinator at the District level for over a year. Mr. Lester has also served as an Instructional Accountability Facilitator for over three years working with state and federal testing programs to coordinate state and national testing and compliance for over 1,500 high school students. Mr. Lester was a middle school and high school English Language Arts teacher as well as lead teacher and teacher leader for 10 years.

Mr. Lester earned his Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He has also earned a Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Lesley University and a Master’s degree in Executive Leadership with K-12 Principal certification. Mr. Lester also has an Educational Specialist degree from Wingate University, Wingate, NC.
