Leroy Wray, Jr. EdD, has a vast array of experience as an educator of over 17 years, including experience as an elementary classroom teacher, school administrator, Title I Coordinator, education and grant consultant, and president and founder of a nonprofit. He has served and volunteered on many organizational boards throughout his career, such as the Prodigal Son Foundation, YMCA, Wing Haven, Arts and Science Council's CLT, NC Cyber Academy, and is currently on the board of directors for the North Carolina PTA and committee chair of Male Engagement. As a philanthropist, Leroy has successfully managed over $10 million, written over 100 successful grants and supported 51 Title I schools.
Dr. Wray’s "WHY” provides ways to educate, empower and engage students to be successful. He has "been there" and shares proven educational strategies designed for teachers and parents to get back into the driver's seat. Leroy has firsthand experience in solving the problems educators and families face daily. He brings expertise in the following areas:

Leroy began his professional career in 2002 in Durham, NC as a teacher and later as a School Administrator in Durham and Charlotte, NC. He received his Bachelor's and Master's in Education Leadership and Technology at North Carolina Central University and holds a Doctoral degree from Gardner Webb University in Leadership and Policy. He currently resides in Charlotte, NC.
