Lorenzo Johnson, Jr., EdD is an Educational Consultant with more than 15 years of proven experience in educational leadership and business coaching. Clients consistently rate energy, knowledge, and skill level as highlights of his training. He brings expertise in the following areas:

Lorenzo’s background includes leading, training, and coaching teachers and educational leaders. He has taught Cross Categorical Special Education (K-5), Elementary Education (3-5), served as Assistant Principal of a Title 1 K-8 school, and Principal of a 9-12 Title 1 Specialty school. Over the course of his administrative years as a school principal (both public and charter), Lorenzo has effectively managed in excess of $22 million in school funds and increased the academic and retention rates of students and staff at underperforming schools. Lorenzo has also successfully written grants and obtained funding through the North Carolina 21st Century Learning Community to provide out-of-school learning loss services to underrepresented students in grades K-9, totaling $220K over four summers. Additionally, Lorenzo has helped impact organizational structures for local small businesses in the Charlotte area and helped increase their employee growth and retention rate by 23%. Lorenzo has also worked in the private insurance sector in human resource management with a Fortune 500 company. 

Lorenzo is a native of Marion, SC.  He received his Bachelor's in Sociology from The University of South Carolina, Master's of Human Resources from Webster University, a Master's in Teaching from Pfeiffer University, and a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Wingate University. Lorenzo received his Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace certificate from The University of South Florida and is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified. He currently resides in Charlotte, NC.
